Brand Identity for Football Club NID

Football being one of the prime sport played at the institution, National Institute of Design, Vjayawada needed a new identity for the football team. An identity that represented the super enthusiastic spirit of the game. A few of us took up the initiative to build an identity for the same and bring up the sports culture of the institute to a new level.

The concept brings out the forms of a black buck(the state Animal of Andhra Pradesh) and a football boot. The combination was tried out through so many iterations and towards the end, focused on keeping an aggressive pose of the buck. 

Some of the essential guides were:

- Football

- Cultural and geographical connotations

- Scalability of form

- Blend of modern context and vintage aesthetics

 

This logo reached a middle ground when it came to a combination of the right forms and concepts and we decided to stick to it. Subsequently, we added the banner along with the name "FCN" to add to the aesthetic value.
